Gadaladeniya Viharaya, also known as Dharma Kirthi Viharaya, is an ancient Buddhist temple located in Pilimathalawa, near Kandy, Sri Lanka. Constructed in 1344 AD during the reign of King Bhuvanekabahu IV, it stands as a testament to Sri Lanka's rich cultural and architectural heritage. ​ The temple showcases a fusion of Sinhalese and South Indian architectural styles. The main shrine, or 'Vihara', is hewn entirely from granite, featuring a seated Buddha statue in the 'Dhyana Mudra' posture, flanked by four standing Buddhas.
